Mecum Auctions will return to Houston this April 4-6 for its second annual collector car auction at the Reliant Center after 2012’s grand inaugural event. With an additional day introduced into the lineup, the three-day affair will see more than 750 vehicles cross the block with portions of all three days broadcast live on Discovery’s Velocity Network.
After last year’s successful debut in the country’s fourth largest city, Mecum’s heading back to H-Town to do it again. A huge variety of collector vehicles, from investment-grade to entry-level, will pour in and fill XX square feet of the enormous Reliant Center. Buyers, sellers and the general public are all invited to take part in Mecum’s Houston Auction. Gates open at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the auction starting around 9:30 a.m. each day. General admission tickets will be available at the door for $20 per person; children 12 and younger will be admitted free-of-charge.

The auction headliner is a museum-worthy, one-of-a-kind high crop 1920 Samson Cane M tractor (Lot S55) believed to be the first high crop tractor ever produced. Also starring in the auction lineup is a group of more than 90 tractors hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, which comprise the collection of John Buchanan. Buchanan’s unique assortment will cross the block Friday featuring everything from professionally restored tractors to beautiful originals.
