Mecum’s Vintage Tractor Auction Is Going Farmin’ In Davenport, Iowa, April 5-6
Mecum’s third annual Spring Gone Farmin’ vintage tractor auction will be held Friday and Saturday, April 5-6 at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport, Iowa, with a special preview slated for Thursday, April 4 from 4-7 p.m. The extended two-day sale will feature nearly 250 restored and unrestored tractors spanning the 20th century along with hundreds of vintage signs and farm relics.
The auction headliner is a museum-worthy, one-of-a-kind high crop 1920 Samson Cane M tractor (Lot S55) believed to be the first high crop tractor ever produced. Also starring in the auction lineup is a group of more than 90 tractors hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, which comprise the collection of John Buchanan. Buchanan’s unique assortment will cross the block Friday featuring everything from professionally restored tractors to beautiful originals.
There is no cost to attend this family friendly event. Buyers, sellers and spectators are all encouraged to take part with gates opening at 7 a.m. both Friday and Saturday and the auction starting at 10:45 a.m. daily. A portion of the auction will be broadcast live on RFD TV; scheduled times are yet to be determined.
