The Paul Dehnert Collection to headline Mecum Indy Event at No Reserve

Lifelong Enthusiast's Vehicles to be Sold at Original Spring Classic Auction in May

A collection of 16 classic cars and 14 vintage motorcycles from the Paul Dehnert Estate will be offered at no reserve during Dana Mecum's 24th Annual Original Spring Classic Auction, May 17-22, 2011, in Indianapolis, Ind.

Dehnert, a lifelong enthusiast and ardent collector, had a passion for everything automotive - from Ferraris and muscle cars to Triumph and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Best known for his love of Corvettes, Mecum will auction Dehnert's expertly restored 1969 Corvette L88 coupe with Bloomington Gold Certification and a twin-turbo Lingenfelter ZR1 driven to 193 mph at the Texas Mile, in addition to noteworthy Pontiacs, Chevelles and Impalas.

For bike aficionados, Dehnert's motorcycle collection features a rare 1973 Triumph X-75 750CC Triple Hurricane, numerous Norton Commandos, a 1998 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and the Mike Hailwood-inspired Ducati MH900, among other highly collectible bikes.

Mecum's Original Spring Classic Auction takes place at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and is open to the general public with tickets available for $15 per day. The auction broadcasts on live national television as part of the company's successful series "Mecum Auto Auction: Muscle Cars & More" on Discovery Communications' HD Theater.
