Mecum Auctions To Offer Coveted Museum Collection At No Reserve

Mecum Auctions will return to Florida to offer an attractive collection of nearly 80 cars including a wide variety of high-performance convertibles and other eye-catching and unique vehicles along with more than 1,000 pieces of Road Art and memorabilia all at no-reserve this Feb. 22-23. Presented from the private collection of Fran and Ron Green, the desirable assortment available at the Verde Classics Museum Collection Auction held in Boynton Beach, Fla., at the Verde Classics Museum, 121 Commerce Road.

Both lawyers by profession and automobile enthusiasts at heart, Fran and Ron Green have spent years building their collection and offering tours of the museum space in the spirit of raising money for their charities of choice, the Wounded Warrior Charities Military Recovery fund and Homes for Our Troops.

Headlining their collection of cars is Lot S41, a 1961 Chrysler 300G Convertible, one of just 338 produced and the recipient of the 2004 AACA Grand National award. A red-on-red 1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner, Lot S32, is another showstopper sporting its wide whitewall tires on chromed wire wheels and a stunning Continental kit. The selection of vehicles proves that there is something to be had by all with the inclusion of a 1970 Aston Martin DBS Coupe, Lot S24, and with several full-size Chevrolets spanning every year from 1957-64 starting with a Bel Air and followed by a lineup of seven gorgeous Impalas.
