Barrett-Jackson Auction Company Gears up for 2nd Annual Orange County Auction, June 24-26 at the OC Fair & Event Center
World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction’s Early Feature Consignments Include 31 Vehicles from the David Parker Collection and a 1973 Ferrari 365GTB/4 Berlinetta
SCOTTSDALE, AZ. –June 6, 2011 – Barrett-Jackson Auction Company, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, announced today its 2nd Annual Orange County Auction will return with unparalleled excitement and energy to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California, June 24-26. Continuing its year-long 40th anniversary, the three-day automotive lifestyle event will feature one of the most diverse selections of customs, classics, Hot Rods, Resto-Mods and original collector cars available for purchase at a Barrett-Jackson auction.
In just one year’s time, Barrett Jackson has grown its presence in Orange County from the inaugural auction building an exciting new footprint at the OC Fair & Event Center. To accommodate Barrett-Jackson’s growing numbers of attendees and showcased automobiles, the team will bring out a portion of the renowned Scottsdale Auction Tent measuring nearly two football fields in length.
Early consignment highlights for the 2011 Orange County event include a 1973 Ferrari 365GTB/4 Berlinetta. The USA Production 1973 Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4 Berlinetta was Maranello’s answer to Lamborghini’s Miura and Maserati’s Ghibli. It features a 4.4 liter, 4-cam, 352 basic hp, 173 mph screamer and has all the books, records and warranty cards in the original wrappers. The car has also won numerous prestigious awards across the country.
Additional consignment highlights include 30 vehicles from renowned car collector and successful entrepreneur David “Dave” Parker. A sample of Parker’s collection includes:
- Lot #341.2: 2002 PORSCHE CARRERA 911- 23,000 original miles and professionally customized with a Gemballa carbon fiber interior, custom stereo system, lowered, full spoiler kit, Lambo doors, 3-piece rims, Porsche hardtop and K40 radar.
- Lot #344.5: 1968 SHELBY GT-350 MUSTANG- A rare documented Hertz Company purchased Shelby that was not a rental, complete with a factory 302cid V8, 4-speed manual transmission. The car is beautifully restored with plenty of pictures and documentation of the restoration.
- Lot #345.2: 1957 CADILLAC SERIES 62 CONVERTIBLE – One of the cleanest frame-off restorations you will find, this restoration has received multiple AACA awards.

SPEED will broadcast 16 hours of live, high-definition TV coverage of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST and Sunday, June 26 from 12 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST.
