More Than 1,100 Collector Cars to Hit the Mecum Auction Block in Dallas September 3-6

For the fourth consecutive year, Mecum Auctions, the largest collector car auction company in the world, will conduct an event in Dallas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The Mecum Dallas Auction will take place on Sept. 3-6 with more than 1,100 cars set to cross the auction block.

The Mecum Dallas Auction is the 12th of 17 auctions on the 2014 calendar. Buyers, sellers and spectators are welcome to attend. Gates will open daily at 8 a.m., and the auction will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 1 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 4 through Saturday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. All consigned cars will be accessible for viewing by ticketed customers before they reach the auction block. General admission tickets are $20 per day for adults, and children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission. Bidder registration is $100.

Featured consignments include one of the few iconic 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwings (Lot S130.1) still extant. Freshly renewed, the car is in concours condition and ready for open road enjoyment. Another auction headliner is the first 1967 Chevrolet Camaro (Lot S114) ever delivered to the famed Yenko Chevrolet nearly 50 years ago. Built on the first day of production, the car today presents as a completely restored example now modified to true Yenko Super Camaro specifications by one of the leading lights in the Yenko community.
