Mecum Presents the MidAmerica Motorcycle Auction Segment
Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction company, has teamed up with MidAmerica Auctions, the world’s largest seller of antique motorcycles, for a collaborative effort to bring collectors the greatest auction experience for both market platforms under one roof.
Dana Mecum and Ron Christenson announce the MidAmerica Motorcycle Auction Segment during Mecum’s inaugural Dallas Auction at the Dallas Convention Center. Consisting of 60 select antique and special interest motorcycles, the motorcycle segment will take place Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 and will join nearly 600 quality muscle cars, classics and street rods on the auction block.
As respective colleagues from the Midwest, Mecum and Christenson bring more than 50 years of knowledge and experience to the auction block. Buyers and sellers can enjoy MidAmerica’s antique motorcycle expertise while experiencing the convenience and excitement of Mecum’s well-oiled auction machine.
Among the motorcycles being offered is a 1973 Triumph X-75 Hurricane, one of the finest, untouched original Hurricanes available. Designed for Triumph by Craig https://imagineear.com/pharmacy/ Vetter of the famous Vetter Motorcycle Fairing Company, this motorcycle is one of only 1,200 produced.

The motorcycle auction segment will broadcast on Discovery’s new network Velocity (formerly HD Theater) during the “Mecum Auto Auction: Muscle Cars & More” show. The entire auction is open to the general public with tickets available in advance or at the door for just $15 per day.
