Stunning Interior w/ Buckets & Console

Select-Aire Conditioner/Power Windows & Rear Window

This Concours Restoration quality Country Squire is finished in Raven Black as trimmed by Ford in the high-line Galaxie trim. By 1961 Ford no longer manufactured their country Squires with real wood but rather with a Di-Noc mahogany grained applique accented by gold panel lines surrounded by fiberglass wood frames that simulated maple. ‘61 was also the last year,  full-size Fords offered the unmistakable rear fins. The interior of this Country Squire has the original style interior upholstery in Red and Pearl White making for a brilliant presentation that compliments the chrome knobs, interior headliner stainless steel ribs and accessories. This particular vehicle has one more unique and stylish attribute, in that the front seat area was upgraded with bucket seats and ribbed console donated from a 500XL contributing to a sport impression while still seating up to 7 in its 3 rows. This example features many factory options, including; power windows, power rear window, Select-Aire Conditioner and Console Range Radio with pushbuttons.

This wagon is powered by the upgraded 390 cubic inch engine which produces  a world of torque. The suspension includes 9-inch ring gear and stout rear axles, known for strength and durability, while the front suspension is fitted with ball joints, upper and lower control arms and is coil sprung. Stopping power has been enhanced with a modern front disc upgrade, though it is hidden by the rare and elegant Kelsey Hayes Wire Wheels. These eye-catching spoked rims are wrapped in Goodrich Silvertown Wide-White-Wall radials for improved handling and riding comfort. The selected rim/tire package makes for a spectacular one-off presentation. The rear brakes continue to be large diameter, wide drums that provide impressive stopping power. These full-sized wagons were constructed of the durable body-on-frame design of the period, making them strong enough to support the weight of heavy passenger or cargo loads, and even suitable for towing packages.
