1973 Dodge Challenger Coming to Mecum Fall Auction
The Mecum Auction at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Illinois on October 3-5 will be the setting when a 1973 Dodge Challenger with Hemi power comes up for sale. This is a very special car fresh from a four-year rotisserie restoration and only driven for test, tune and show miles. The car features a 605 CI Aluminum Block Indy Cylinder Head Hemi power plant turning out 886 Horsepower! All the drive components are properly matched to put that power on the pavement.
The car has all the right things to make it a screamer – Dana 60 rear end, Passion Performance Custom 4-speed Transmission, Boze Custom Wheels, Willwood four-wheel disc brakes, six-point roll cage with swing-out doors, 20 gallon custom aluminum fuel cell, adjustable ladder bars, mini-tubs and narrowed rear end. In addition to all these power and handling options, the car sports a 2009 Hemi Orange Pearl exterior finish with black interior.
This is a desirable first generation Dodge Challenger mixes today’s high performance technology with class Muscle Car lines a spectacular vehicle in every way – power, performance, handling and great looks. The car has already been photographed for as a feature in upcoming publications as a great example of what a restoration can be. It’s a “sleeper,” looking pretty much stock but having all stuff to surprise anyone who pulls up to a stoplight alongside it. For more details on this car, visit the Mecum website.
