This stunning E-Type is the result of a 5 year, nut and bolt restoration by the purest of enthusiasts. This XK-E was finished in the richest Burgundy available and compliments the Saddle Leather interior perfectly. The beautiful paintwork and attention to detail on this Jag continues throughout the entire car, and is why this XK-E is a show winner. Upon the E-types release, Enzo Ferrari was quoted as saying that they were “the most beautiful car ever made’, a ringing endorsement from a true aficionado.
This Jaguar has the 4.2 Liter, six-cylinder double-cam engine, sporting three SU carburetors, & produces an impressive 265 horsepower. This engine as well as the rest of the drivetrain was completely refurbished by the best of the best and no bolt was left unturned. The syncro-mesh manual gear box and hydraulic clutch work together perfectly when driving this XK-E, as well as the independent suspension and disc brakes. All these items together made the E-Type a true supercar.
Throughout the restoration process, many items were cleverly rethought to make this Jag stand apart. This is a theme seen throughout the interior of the car. The original radio was updated as well, to work better but keep the originality of the car. Other items like the steering wheel, shifter, switches, and other items keep with this theme and were updated for ease of use. All new interior items like the seat hides, carpet, mats, top, and boot, are all of the finest quality.
