With just over 12000 made, it is rare to find a 1940 Special that hasn’t been modified or Hot Rodded! This Businessman’s Coupe was purchased from its original owner in 1975 by a gentleman who commissioned a full ground-up, frame-off, nut and bolt restoration to factory specifications. This second owner has meticulously maintained this vehicle for the last 37 years.

The classic Buick lines are highlighted by a beautiful Black exterior which has a mirror finish and all of the exterior chrome is like new including the huge front split grill, front and rear bumpers, side trim and window reveals. Wide whitewall tires and chrome Buick hub caps round out the exterior. The highly detailed engine compartment features the fully serviced and sorted Buick 248cui Straight Eight engine and three speed on the column manual transmission.

Equally impressive is the immaculate Tan Cloth interior. The seats, carpet, headliner and door panels are all factory new. The dash is complimented by fully functional gold on silver gauges with crystal clear lenses and a huge ivory Buick steering wheel. The original owner’s manual and shop manual are included with this car. Since its restoration, this Buick has been garage kept and never seen any inclement weather.
