Momentum Continues to Build on Company’s 40th Anniversary Tour

SCOTTSDALE, AZ. –June 24, 2011 – Barrett-Jackson Auction Company, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, announced today a sampling of the consignments still rolling in for its 2nd Annual Orange County Auction at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California, June 24-26. Continuing its year-long 40th anniversary celebration, Barrett-Jackson is gearing up for a full weekend of activities designed to offer something to appeal to collector car enthusiasts from around the country.

The scene at the OC Fair & Event Center is generating buzz around the South Coast region and across the country as auction participants and spectators get their first look at the expanded Barrett-Jackson auction venue. A portion of the famed main tent from the company’s flagship Scottsdale auction which measures 200 yards in length—the size of two football fields—takes center stage at the venue while Orange County’s iconic “La Grande Wheel” Ferris Wheel serves as a beacon to visitors approaching from all directions.

As a preview for the fourth and final stop of the Barrett-Jackson 40th anniversary tour in Las Vegas, MGM Resorts International has a special presence at the Orange County auction entrance where spectators can meet and have photos taken with professional Las Vegas showgirls. Auction attendees will also have a chance to enter to win a VIP experience package for the 4th annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction September 22-24.

Ford will unleash their professional drifting team on the Barrett-Jackson drifting track beginning on Friday morning. General Motors is featuring a time-lapsed 360° photo booth and interactive displays where auction spectators can become part of the action. Both manufacturers will also feature their successful ride ‘n drive programs where the latest model vehicles are featured.
