Barrett-Jackson Announces More Than $24 Million in Sales and 60,000 in Attendance at the 4th Annual Las Vegas Auction

LAS VEGAS, NV. –September 28, 2011Barrett-Jackson Auction Company, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, announced today more than $24 million in gross sales of Exotics, Customs, Classics, Hot Rods, Resto-Mods and original collector vehicles was generated during its 4th annual Las Vegas auction at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino September 22-24, 2011.

The 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 (Lot #6400) was the top selling vehicle, garnering $700,000 on Saturday night.  Following the Fairlane in top sales was the first 2012 Camaro ZL1 (Lot #674.3) offered to the public, with a sale price of $250,000.  Rounding out the top selling vehicles:

The 2011 three-day automotive lifestyle event recorded several significant milestones including:

  • 580 vehicles sold in three days, a record for Las Vegas
  • 97% sell-through rate, the highest since Barrett-Jackson reinstituted a hybrid auction model with both reserve and no reserve consignment options
  • 60,000 in attendance, the highest numbers for a Las Vegas auction
  • 25% increase in Barrett-Jackson licensed merchandise sales from 2010
  • 16% increase in ticket sales from 2010

Barrett-Jackson drew many celebrities throughout the event including Actor Josh Duhamel, Actor Tom Arnold, cast members of the hit cable television show “Pawn Stars,” Comedian Rich Little, Magician Criss Angel and legendary MMA Champion Randy Couture.

The members of “Pawn Stars” attended the auction in support of a 1915 Ford Model T Custom Woody Sedan that hit the auction block fresh from an episode of the top-rated cable program.  World renowned magician Criss Angel also watched as his custom collection of vehicles disappeared from the auction block. During the Las Vegas auction, Barrett-Jackson helped raise nearly $1,400,000 for local and national charitable organizations.  Barrett-Jackson waives all fees and commissions on charity vehicles, encouraging auction participants to maximize their bids. The $700,000, 1964 Ford Fairlane, owned by Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis was the top performing charity car that https://pharmacy-no-rx.net/kamagra_oral_jelly_brand.html included a moving tribute to members of the armed forces live on SPEED.  All proceeds were donated to the Armed Forces Foundation.  Josh Duhamel came to Barrett-Jackson supporting the sale of a 2006 Shelby Cobra Re-Creation Roadster signed by Duhamel along with the members of the Black Eyed Peas and donated by Barrett-Jackson.  The charity sale raised $100,000 for the Minot Area Community Foundation Recovery Fund.
